Peak Performer festival will redefine leadership in Africa – Convener

The convener, The Peak Performer (TPP) Abiola Salami has stressed the need for the next generation of African leaders to be trained on leadership.

He stated during this the press conference to herald the 2025 Peak Performer Festival 2025, themed, ‘Powering People, Shaping Leaders & Sustaining Legacy with 21st Century Intelligence,’ billed to hold November 17-18 in Lagos.

He stressed that the theme reflects the belief that in today’s world, intelligence is no longer just about Intelligence Quotient but about all round intelligence.

“We believe leadership is Africa’s greatest export potential. And through the work of The Peak Performer brand, we will continue to coach, challenge, and celebrate those who dare to raise the standard of performance in every sector,” he said.

He highlighted the obstacles hindering the leadership capacity of emerging leaders and women, saying the festival promises to proffer solutions.

That’s why at TPP Fest 2025, we are rewriting the script of leadership by coaching emerging leaders to develop GRIT and thrive against all odds, coaching women in leadership to say No More Shrinking when doubt whispers in the marketplace, and coaching high performing Senior Leaders to practice title — the discipline of leading powerfully on the outside without losing that alignment on the inside,” he said.

“Too many emerging leaders want the spotlight before they’ve built the stamina. They are eager to rise but unwilling to grow.

“Too many powerful women are leading with apologies. They are present at the table but absent in their own confidence. Too many Senior leaders are winning the applause but losing the alignment. They are bold on stage yet battling in silence,” he said.

One of the representatives of the partners of TPP, GCEO, TVC Communications, Victoria Ajayi said the partnership reflects the firm’s commitment to support a platform that continues to celebrate and shape Africa’s leadership story.

“That is why our partnership with The Peak Performer Africa is particularly meaningful. It is not just about media coverage; it’s about collaboration for transformation,” she said.
